OVERVIEW

Serving local Western Australian communities in over 10 locations with a workforce of over 100 employees, Tucker Fresh IGA stores are speciality providers of fresh produce and foods. Tucker Fresh IGA has a central head office which guides and supports each store. At the heart of Tucker Fresh IGA is a deep commitment to community, with an aim that every dollar spent actively contributes to the local community.

BUSINESS NEEDS

Fresh produce and food retailing is a complex business with challenges around inventory levels, health and safety, staffing, and store promotions. Tucker Fresh IGA required a unified solution to support company communication and culture, store and event information and staff knowledge of current offers. With tasks requiring attention across the network of stores, Tucker Fresh wanted to move away from email to a system that would make it easy for retail staff to confirm that tasks had been actioned.

In addition, with frequent employee movements across multiple stores, employee onboarding and offboarding needed to be centralised. A solution that fit in with Tucker Fresh IGA’s existing Microsoft technology stack was identified as key.

THE PROJECT

Tucker Fresh IGA landed on Injio Go, a customisable intranet and document management solution powered by SharePoint. The Injio Go project team, in close collaboration with strategy and marketing at Tucker Fresh IGA, helped to shape the structure of the new intranet, including a compact and simple to navigate mega menu, the division of each department into its own unique site section and a store image gallery on the intranet homepage.

Frequently used apps and services such as Teams, Employment Hero and Last Yard are easily accessible via bold coloured buttons on the home page.

Tucker Fresh identified a unique and helpful use case for a document review and attestation module, ensuring staff are familiar with the week’s product specials and promotions. Promotions are also highlighted in the central calendar, keeping everyone on top of current offers and supplier deals.

OUTCOMES

The intranet is an important hub for Tucker Fresh employee engagement, hosting the latest news, recent photos from store openings and community events as well as editions of ‘Tucker Talk,’ Tucker Fresh IGA’s very own newsletter.

Store managers can now easily upload the information, identify the relevant reviewers and ensure they receive email reminders for current promotion documents that have not been read and acknowledged within a given time frame.

IGA people can find what they need, when they need it with easy to navigate search and ‘quick links’.
